The Ambleside Campus is situated on the edge of a small town with fells (small mountains) and valley walks accessible directly from the grounds.  It has dispersed buildings with many green spaces both on the campus and surrounding it. It is in the heart of the Lake District National Park and is the only university campus in the UK located in a UNESCO World Heritage site.
