Option One

Wild Pedagogies with Nigel Dykes, Saturday 16 – Monday 18 July 2022. 

Wild pedagogies’ emerged as a strong thread at IOERC8. This pre-conference workshop will stay in England’s largest rewilding project in the Ennerdale valley The intention is to revisit this fast developing topic bringing those previously involved and new voices together around practical experiences and community living for 3 days.

£80 inclusive of travel, residential (two nights bunkhouse style) and including catering costs. 

Option Two

The Lake District, Outdoor Education and the world with colleagues from the University of Cumbria and our partner universities. Saturday 16 – Monday 18 July 2022. Ambleside with day trips.

£30 inclusive of travel.

Participants should make their own catering and accommodation arrangements or add the extra days to your on campus accommodation booking. Trip options include Millican Dalton’s (the ‘professor’ of adventure) Cave; Wildcat Island by canoe – of Swallows and Amazons fame; the first recorded rock climb – Napes Needle; and Loughrigg Terrace – the haunt of William Wordsworth.
